Youth Ministry is the cornerstone of our parish. We serve our children and youth through our Sunday School program and Armenian Church Youth Organization. We also train our young ones to become crucial parts of the worship life of the church through choir training and alter service.
Armenian Church Youth Organization
The Armenian Church Youth Organization (ACYO) is one of the most important groups within the life of our parish. Youth ages 12 and up can become members. It is fun, educational, and provides opportunities to serve the Armenian community. It is a wonderful mean to make friends and meet other Armenians youth in the Bay Area.
Sunday School
The Sunday School Mission
The purpose of St. John Sunday School program is to facilitate an opportunity for children to learn the fundamentals of Orthodox Christianity as taught by the Fathers of the Orthodox Church. Additionally, St. John Sunday School provides an opportunity for children to learn their Armenian culture through song, art, and creative projects.
Youth Choir
The St. John Youth Choir performs the Divine Liturgy every second Sunday of the month. The Choir practices in the Sunday School each first Sunday of the month. All children, of all expeirence levels are welcome.
Singing in the Junior Choir is a irreplaceable way to learn about the Divine Liturgy. It is also a beautiful way to become a part of celebrating the Divine Liturgy and worshiping the Lord.
