Armenian Church Youth Organization

The Armenian Church Youth Organization (ACYO) is one of the most important groups within the life of our parish. Youth ages 12 and up can become members. It is fun, educational, and provides opportunities to serve the Armenian community. It is a wonderful mean to make friends and meet other Armenians youth in the Bay Area.

Mission of the ACYO

The Armenian Church Youth Organization of the Western Diocese of North America (ACYO-WD) actively integrates its members into the life of the church by providing opportunities for Worship, Service, Education, and Fellowship in Christ according to the doctrines and traditions of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

Over the summer, ACYO had many fun events that brought the group closer together. We made memories that we will cherish forever. We continued our Friday Night hangouts where we have dinner, discussions, and hangout time. Our discussions range from faith to everyday topics that relate to us. This event helps us unwind from a stressful week of school.  We hope to continue these Friday nights throughout the rest of the year.

Installation of 2018 Parish Officers

Friday, April 6, 2018

For the first time St. John conducted an installation of the officers of the Parish Council, the Ladies Society, and the Armenian Church Youth Organization in one service.

This event became an expression of the unity of purpose and vision for cooperation that our parish is cultivating with leadership.

Following the installation ceremony, newly elected Parish Council Chair Kathy Kapeghian expressed her gratitude to be able to serve the church and to do so along with so many devoted parish members, from across generations.

Mesrop and Dn. Charles. The night was full of discussion about prayer, baking rice crispy treats, and karaoke. Later that month we worked during the church’s annual food festival. We had a great time doing face painting and working various booths at the food festival.
