Culmination of St. John Armenian Church Sunday School

On Sunday, May 18, 2025, the St. John Armenian Church community gathered to celebrate the culmination of another meaningful and spiritually enriching Sunday School year. The celebration took place following the Divine Liturgy, filling the sanctuary and parish hall with joy, gratitude, and a deep sense of unity in faith.

ACYO Spring Retreat at HyeCamp

On the weekend of April 4th to 6th, the St. John Church SF ACYO was blessed to participate along with Fr. Mesrop Ash in the ACYO Spring Retreat held at the beautiful HyeCamp in Dunlap CA. If you haven't had a chance to visit it yet, it is definitely a must for any Armenian Christian in the Western Diocese. The weather was sunny but chilly; it had snowed a few days ago and there were small patches of snow leftover, which of course were used for spontaneous snowball fights.

Community Meeting Hosted by St. John Parish Council

The St. John Parish community gathered for a significant meeting led by the Parish Council bringing together parishioners and leaders of various church organizations to discuss the spiritual and organizational aspects of parish life.

The meeting commenced with an insightful address by Fr. Mesrop, who emphasized the importance of spiritual life within the community. He encouraged parishioners to deepen their faith and actively engage in church activities to strengthen their connection with God and each other.

The celebration was marked by a sense of reverence and community, as the faithful gathered for the Divine Liturgy and participated in the sacred tradition of the Antasdan—the special adoration service at the conclusion of the liturgy. This ancient rite, conducted in the church courtyard, is a time-honored way to offer prayers for the four corners of the world.
