WHAT IS ST. JOHN CARES? It’s our commitment to love boldly and serve humbly—showing God’s love and care through hands-on help, hope, and compassion in our community.

Here are two highlighted events for St. John Cares. The first was a night when the St. John community prepared warm socks and McDonald's gift cards for the homeless. All participants took the socks and gift cards home and personally gave to those they saw in need or whenever the opportunity arose. The socks and cards were wrapped with loving and biblical scripture quotes. The second was a 1-day 6-hour Pop-up BBQ where all the proceeds were donated to the SF Children’s Network. 

WHY? At St. John, we proudly support local, national, and international causes, both within the Armenian community and beyond. There’s a powerful difference between contributing to a donation fund and looking someone in the eye and saying with your actions — I see you and I care.

BECAUSE Jesus called us to give freely—of our time, our resources, and our hearts—just as we have freely received God’s grace. He reminded us that true generosity expects nothing in return. He urged us to care for those in need, to give without hesitation, and to show compassion to those who cannot help themselves.
