AWARD PROGRAMS
The James Martin Klijian Memorial Fund Scholarship Awards of St. John Armenian Apostolic Church was established by The Barkev and Beatrice Klijian Family in 1976 in memory of James Martin Klijian. Scholarships are available each year for the purpose of encouraging participation in St. John Armenian Church youth activities. One requirement of this fund is applicants or one parent must be a pledging member of St. John Armenian Apostolic Church.
Additionally, auxiliary organizations and private donors award scholarships to the youth of our parish who have demonstrated their devotion to the Armenian Church over the years.
ELIGIBILITY
The Award Selection Committee will determine which applicant should receive the award in accordance with the following standards:
- Applicants must be young men or women between the ages of 17-24 who are active in St. John Church youth activities, such as the Sunday School, ACYO, Church Choir, Acolytes, and other programs;
- This Scholarship cannot be awarded to an individual more than four (4) times.
- As many as two (2) letters of recommendation may be submitted for consideration, but are not required.
