On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, our parish was abuzz with activities, devotion, and the spirit of community. This special day not only marked a significant event in our liturgical calendar but also the joyous relaunch of our Sunday School.
The day commenced with the Celebration of the Divine Liturgy, including the powerful Antasdan blessing service, a world-blessing tradition that embodies our deep-rooted faith and commitment to the teachings of the Armenian Church. Meanwhile, our Sunday School reopened its doors, reuniting our dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive parents. The day's lessons were centered around the significance of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, ensuring our young minds grasped the essence of this sacred event.
Our Superintendent, Sevag Sarkissian, warmly welcomed everyone, setting the tone for a year filled with learning, growth, and spiritual enrichment. Our devoted teachers - Cissy Baloian, Jasmine Kassabian, Hilda Oskanian, and Angela Shahbazian - took the lead, guiding our students through their classes with passion and dedication.
The sense of community was further strengthened as we all came together for a fellowship lunch, sharing meals, stories, and laughter. The day's activities didn't end there. Our parishioners also came together to prepare our Food Festival postcards, ensuring they were ready for mailing.
