As we joyfully ushered in 2018 we have been keeping busy by the weeks and months as faithful and devoted members of our community. Our cross generations of members and friends helping in many different ways provide each of us an experience one can only understand when immersed in these various activities and events. Whether it’s sitting in church in worship, socializing at a luncheon or working on a project, our connections with each other are strengthening our character, community and faith.
In April, our most recent event being our Brunch Social and Fashion Show. We gathered ourselves to enjoy an afternoon of ‘Fun, Food and Fashion”. It was wonderful to reinvent the traditions of our Ladies Society fashion shows of the past into the 21st Century. We thank our Cabi Stylists for sharing perspectives on new ways to go shopping for clothes with a personal stylist. Our very own members and friends were models who were thrilled to participate. April was an unexpectedly busy month for our Ladies Society and our many friends. We are so very grateful for all of our volunteers.
In March, we utilized every ‘Thursday Volunteer Day’ preparing for Holy Week, preparing mailings, and organizing the hall and the sanctuary. Our hosted lunch on Maundy Thursday was enjoyed by many.
In February, we gathered for our monthly meeting in the sweet theme of Valentines Day. Our luncheon was hosted by several members who contributed items to create a heart-healthy lunch.
The Ladies Society will soon be busy preparing for our annual Food Festival, put on your work shoes and bring your friends. A cooking schedule will be posted soon.
