Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring mothers. There is simply no way we can ever really thank mothers for all they do for us. Around the world, people follow different traditions of celebrating Mother’s Day.  Here in the United States Mother’s Day is one of the most important holidays, and it always falls the second Sunday of the month of May.

Sunday, May 14, 2017, the 57th annual Mother’s Day breakfast was held at St. John Armenian Church. The men of St. John, once again came early morning to prepare and serve a delicious breakfast to all the mothers and their families. Along with the men, ACYO Jr. members helped serve the guests.

Following the breakfast, the families participated in the Divine Liturgy, where Fr. Mesrop invited Dn. Charles Cherezian to offer a special spiritual message based on his personal experience, following which he offered a very special pray to God to bless all mothers present. He mentioned the vital role that mothers play in our lives.  We have to be thankful to our mothers for their unconditional love and always being there for us.

Special thanks to all the men of St. John and all the volunteers for who prepared the delicious brunch.
