Year after year, it has been a true source of joy that more and more youth are attending the Annual Western Diocese Summer Camp program, known as Hye Camp. It is a safe and nurturing environment, where our youth can grow in their relationships with one another, their culture, and with Christ.
During the Summer Camp program of 2015, we had children attending 3 out of the 4 one-week-long sessions. Most of our youth attended the 2nd Week session, numbering over 30. Not only were our kids participating in large numbers, but so too were our parish members. Tamara Karakashian was the director of the 2nd Week session, Paula Boghossian was the girl’s dean, and Van Kazoujian was the boys been, all members of our community. So too is David Tateossian, who for the 3rd year in a row has served as camp photographer. They were joined by many other Bay Area Armenians who were counselors and staff members.
