Solemn Divine Liturgy, Songs for the Ancestors: Poetry and Music Program

Rev. Fr. Mardiros Chevian, Dean of the St. Nersess Armenian Seminary, will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver the Spiritual Message, on Sunday, March 15, 2015 10:30am. Following the church service, Fr. Chevian will give a brief presentation about St. Nersess Seminary. 

As the only Armenian seminary in the western world, St. Nersess remains committed to preparing priests and lay leaders for the Armenian Church in North America.

The cultural Program, Live performence by poet James Baloian, Dan Cantrell (Accordion), James Ditzian (clarinet) and Max Baloian (guitar).

For over fifty years, James Baloian has been writing and publishing poetry that explores the beauty, cruelty, dreams, fears, turbulences, and serenity of human existence and the natural world around us. A selection of his works has been set to original and traditional music that pays homage to the far-reaching tragedy and trauma of the Genocide as well as the love and perseverance of the Armenian people
