For the past three years, St. John has offered an Internship program for High School and College students where interns gain practical work experience, learn to work together, being creative, help the community and above all have fun.

This year 10 students participated in this program including Slavik Gevorkyan, Nick James, Lea Kissick, Maria Stone, Grant Hilman, Slavik Bayatyan, Andrew Boghossian, Alex Kouyoumdjian, Allen Torchiyan and Enrike Kaltakhtchyan. They met twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday from beginning of July until beginning of August.

The tasks were prepared and introduced to them by Fr. Mesrop Ash, which included Social Media Management, caring of the Church Garden, organizing the storage area under the supervision of Christina Ardemis as well as the print room and the bookstore, preparing short videos with Fr. Mesrop about Armenian History, taking inventory of the Heritage Hall paintings and antiquities, preparing mailings and helping the ladies in the kitchen when needed. The Interns accomplished all the tasks that were presented to them with positive attitude, most of all they had a great time working together, and helping the church. A highlight of the working days were the lunches provided by Parish Council.  As a token of appreciation their last day, the interns were treated to a burger and milshake field-trip with Fr. Mesrop.

We thank all the interns for their dedication and hard work.

Hope to see you next year!!!
