Coronavirus Relief Fund

The ACYO Outreach - Coronavirus Relief Fund is a project of the Armenian Church Youth Organization at St. John

Update (9/1/2020)

Due to your generous donations over the past couple months, the ACYO Outreach Program has raised over $6,000.

Phase 1 and 2 consisted of donating money directly to families within the Bay Area for housing and food.

We have kicked off Phase 3 of our outreach. We have chosen the program #Ourdailybread overseen by Aregak Bakery in Gyumri Armenia. Aregak Bakery is Armenia's first inclusive cafe. They are running a special campaign called "Our Daily Bread" to help the Gyumri community during the pandemic period. Since April, they have baked and delivered more than 8,000 loaves to people in need. With your support, the project can continue through this difficult season in Armenia. $15 helps provide bread for six families in need. It also ensures that Aregak Bakery can continue providing life-enhancing employment for people with disabilities during the economic downturn.

We appreciate your continued support in our outreach program!

Mission Statement

We are living in the makings of history, in the world we live in today over 7 billion people are sitting at home, most without work to feed their families, some struggling with illness, and others sit at home thinking of ways to help. This is the time to be leaders to gather together and advocate for the ones who can’t advocate for themselves. Our ACYO has gathered together to make sure that every person in our community is given the opportunity to fight this struggle that has impacted us all.

This outreach was created to fundraise and advocate for families being affected by the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19. We are all being affected by the consequences of this virus either by not being able to attend work, school, or activities we had looked forward to all year or through financial struggles associated with the virus.

We are all in this together and will remain strong through the guidance of our faith in the Lord. As a community, we are called in His name to love one another and serve as leaders.

“Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble” 1 Peter 3:8
