Every year one of the Northern California Armenian Churches hosts NorCal Armenian Senior Services’ Christmas party. This year St. John was honored to host this joyous event. The hall was decorated, the Christmas tree was lit and as usual our hospitable and diligent ladies were excited to prepare the lunch and make this event memorable for NorCal seniors.
Fr. Mesrop Ash welcomed the guests, and offered a presentation about Christmas and remembering Armenia and our customs. Following lunch our own Sima Kouyoumdjian Kesecker performed brilliantly two Chopin pieces and Hasmig Harutunyan entertained the guests with sing along songs by Gomidas, and of course the Christmas party will not be complete without the visitation of Santa who brought presents for everyone.
We thank NorCal Senior Service Coordinators Ayko Berberian and Hermin Armstrong for doing a fantastic job, and all the ladies that helped prepare the delicious meal for our seniors, and wish everyone Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year.
