Once again St. John celebrated its Annual Food Festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 18-19. For the past six months our devoted volunteers were preparing authentic Armenian food and pastries, under the leadership of Christina Ardemis and Linda Lester. This year the kitchen crew was really inspired by the positive energy of these two passionate women, and with fun and laughter they prepared traditional Armenian foods, like Sue Boreg, Kufta, Sarma, and many more.
Under the leadership of the dedicated co-chairs, Dn. Charles Cherezian and Edward Barber, and especially all of the dedicated committee members and volunteers, we proudly can say that the 72nd Annual Food Festival was a success.
Again this year our Sunday School students worked very hard selling Armenian Coffee and Raffle during the day and still had enough energy to perform with St. John Karoon Dance Ensemble. Our older Sunday School Students served in many ways and greeted customers with a smile at the buffet line.
The boutique was decorated beautifully by Paula Boghossian and Yer. Annie Ash, with items brought from Armenia. Those who came were able to go home with beautiful & inique gifts. Boutique items will continue to be on sale until Christmas.
Many thanks to the entire Food Festival committee, our many volunteers, our sponsors and contributers, and every one who attended this year's festival. Anoush uhla!
