Sunday, September 8, 2013 following the Divine Liturgy, the Honorable Judge Adrienne Krikorian, Esq., and the first female Chairperson of the Diocesan Council of Western Diocese, gave a presentation about House of Hope / Mer Hooys.
Judge Krikorian gave a brief history of the program and its mission, which is to provide opportunities to young adult women from disadvantaged lifestyles in Armenia so they may achieve a productive and secure future. The program provides qualified teenage girls from state-run orphanages with a comfortable and safe home, a family environment, psychological support, and education in languages, social skills, community relations, arts, religion, life skills, and job skills.
