With the sun shining, birds singing, and the smell of Armenian food on the breeze, the families of St. John came together at Junipero Serra Park for the Annual Church Picnic.

The gorgeous day began with the observation of the Morning Prayers of the Armenian Church. Fr. Mesrop, parish priest, offered the spiritual message regarding the beauty of salvation through serving one another.

The day continued with the serving of a kebab lunch. There were nearly 150 people in attendance enjoying the delicious food. The day was also a special occasion to celebrate the birthdays of several parishioners.

The bouncy castle was a favorite of the children, while tavloo was the preferred way to pass the time of the adults.

St. John offers its thanks to the event chair, Steven Cherezian, as well as the many volunteers who helped to make this day so memorable.
