On Armenian Christmas Eve (January 5th), a significant tradition is to bring a lit candle or lamp from church back home, symbolizing the "Light of Christ" and representing the Star of Bethlehem guiding the Magi, thus illuminating the darkness with the blessings of the church; this practice is called "Jerakalouyts" which translates to "Light of a lamp"
