In light of the tragic news that has captivated our community, regarding the dozens of lives lost in the defense of the border of Nagorno-Karabakh against unwarranted Azeri aggression, St. John Armenian Church will be hosting a prayer vigil on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at 7:00pm.

During this candlelight prayer vigil, we will pray for the repose of the souls of the soldiers and innocent civilians who have fallen, as well as for God’s protection for Armenia and Artsakh, their armed forces, and most importantly for peace. Also, a special presentation will be made updating the community about the ongoing conflict and its repercussions.

We will also be raising money for the newly established fund of the Western Diocese that will send relief for the families who’s lives have been put in turmoil. St. John is also accepting contributions online.

This vigil is being organized in coordination with the all of the parishes of the Western Diocese in the Northern Region. If you are outside of the San Francisco area, please contact your parish to find out more.
